AN OMEN (THE KILLING)
The Killing is a video piece in 3 parts, attempting to translate the inner processes that unfolded during the making of MOTHERS AND FATHERS, a piece structured as a rite of passage to leave childhood for womanhood. The Killing investigates the traces left by incest through the creation of a symbolic tale on transgression and transformation.

SINGING ABOVE THE WATERS - CHANTER AU-DESSUS DES EAUX
SINGING ABOVE THE WATERS's french title CHANTER AU-DESSUS DES EAUX is a direct phonetical and conceptual reference to the chapter "Chanter au-dessus des Os", in Clarissa Pinkola Estes' Women Who Run With the Wolves. Pinkola Estes tells the story of La Loba, an old woman "who knows". She searches the deserts for wolves bones, gathers them patiently and sings over them, breathing new life into the skeleton that soon becomes a wolf, who jumps and runs away. Pinkola Estes sees in this metaphore a regeneration of the wild woman archetype.
SINGING ABOVE THE WATERS is the third and last part of THE KILLING, closing the rite of passage with an incantation for a new route.
